FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash aims to offer a positive and unrushed service for the dog. We will not rush. Dog behavior is unpredictable and we can only estimate how long a service will take. Clients are advised to ask upon arrival for an estimated completion time and not schedule other appointments close to the time of wash/groom booking. This is especially important for unfamiliar, first time dogs.
Appointment times are approximate. Actual arrival time could be 30 minutes prior or 30 mins after the estimated appointment time. Appointment times may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. These could be but not limited to - traffic, weather conditions, mechanical breakdown, groomer injury, behavior of dogs in prior appointment. Dogs are unpredictable and when working with dogs unexpected things occur. We will not rush a service. The well being of the dog we are currently working with is our priority. If possible a text will be sent to the client advising of the time adjustment. Please advise when booking if the dog is nervous so extra time can be scheduled.
Upon arrival at your home FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash requires the client have ready -
1- Clear and close access to a power point (not a power board or power cord) to plug our power cord into,
2- Clear and close access to a water tap (fitted with a 12mm hose fitting),
3- Clear and close access to a level hard stand; at least (7) seven meters, to legally park vehicle and trailer.
Upon arrival it will take a few moments for the dog washer/groomer to set up the trailer/power/water connection in that time the Client is required to get the dog ready and secure with a collar and leash. This is for the dogs safety and to avoid unnecessary delays.
24 hours notice from time of the appointment is required for cancellations or a re-schedule. Less than 24 hours notice will incur a fee. This fee will be the forfeiting of the booking fee paid or in the case when a booking fee was not paid the fee will be $30.00 per dog booked. One re-schedule per appointment. Pre-payment in full will be required for future bookings. A second cancellation or re-schedule of an appointment with less than 24 hours notice will result in refusal of future service.
The fee for missed appointments is the full price estimated for the service. Being 15 minutes late or more will be considered a missed appointment. After 1 missed appointment pre-payment will be required for future bookings. A second missed appointments will result in refusal of future service.
A late payment fee of $1.00 per day will be added to the amount owing in the event a service is not paid for on the day of the service. No further services will be rendered until the amount owed is paid.
Reminders text messages are a courtesy only clients are advised to record their appointments time and date in their diary's. Reminder texts are sent prior to appointments. Prompt reply’s are required from the client. Failure to reply will result in the appointment being cancelled.
Business Hours are Tuesday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Please only text and call between those hours. Our phone is not manned outside of these hours and calls and texts received outside of these business hours will not be responded to until the next business day.
Payment of a $30.00 booking fee per dog may be required to secure a booking. This is to be paid at the time of making the booking and can be paid via credit card over the phone. An instant receipt will be issued. The booking fee comes off the total payable for the service leaving the balance of the service cost to be paid in cash on the day of the service. If 24 hours or less notice is given for a cancellation / reschedule of an appointment the booking fee is forfeited.
Payment in full must be made at the start of the service via cash. Pre-payments must be made in full 24 hours prior to the appointment via credit card over the phone or in cash at the previous appointment. A credit card fee of 1.9% may apply to card transactions.
Due to the nature of Dog Washing/Grooming all prices prior to actually washing/grooming are only estimates. Final price will depend on the temperament of each dog and the condition of the coat. Upon physical inspection of the dog by the groomer a good faith estimated price will be provided. Extra charges may apply for dogs that are matted and/or difficult to manage.
Senior dogs (aged 7 and above) may have a greater chance of injury. Dogs with existing medical problems run a higher risk of having issues with washing and grooming. Stress can trigger seizures, heart attacks etc. On these kinds of dogs knowing the dogs condition can help tailor the washing/grooming experience to be what they need to make it as relaxing as possible for them. Client will be liable for any medical care expenses that result from injury caused by washing or grooming the senior dog.
The well being and comfort of the dog is placed above all else. Brushing out heavy matting is very hard on the dog and the groomer, therefore, matted dogs are shaved; not de-matted. If the dog requires shaving down the client will be notified beforehand and the longest blade possible will be used, however, the groomer must use whatever gets under the mats. Severely tangled and/or matted dogs have a greater risk of injury, stress and trauma such as clipper irritation, burn, nicks, hemotoma, mental and physical stress. Additional fees will be charged for matted dogs. Client will be liable for any medical care expenses that result from injury caused by clipping/ grooming the matted dog.
Client is required to advise if dog has any injuries. For the dogs well being and safety; any dog with an open wound and or sores can not be serviced.
Client is required to advise at time of making booking if the dog has fleas. The fleas will be treated and an additional fee charged to the client.
For the safety and well being of the dog we can not service any dog:
(a) That has been exposed to any infectious illness within (30) thirty days prior to the service being performed.
(b) That has kennel cough, conjunctivitis or diarrhea.
(c) That is not fully vaccinated.
(d) Or puppy until 7 days after its final vaccination.
Do not disturb the washer/groomer. For the safety of the dog no one other than the groomer must enter the trailer or loiter around the trailer while the dog is being washed/groomed. A dog can smell and hear you before it sees you coming. Distraction to the groomer and the dog can cause the dog to move excessively. Due to safety concerns the service will have to stop until the distraction is removed and the dog calmed down. Constantly being stirred up / upset by a helicopter / loitering client is a safety hazard and unfair to the dog. Additional fees for additional time required while waiting for the dog to calm down will be incurred or the dog washer/groomer can opt to cancel the service. In the case of the service being cancelled the full price estimated for the service will be payable by the client. Smoking around the trailer is not allowed and can result in cessation of the service.
FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash may take pictures and or videos of the dog before, during and after washing/grooming. These photos and video may be utilized at the discretion of FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash for the purpose of including but not limited to; the website, social media and for advertising purposes.
Client is required to advise of all known dangers associated with the dog and if dog has a history of aggression or biting. FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash reserve the right to refuse service and all bites will be reported to authorities. A muzzle and / or a restraint/ leash may be used on the dog. Client will be held liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injury caused by the dog.
FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash reserves the right to refuse service to the client and/or the dog at any time for any reason.
For the well being of the dog and groomer the client is required to provide true and accurate information about the dog.
Services may be stopped mid wash/groom due to unforeseen circumstances related to the dog's condition or behavior. Full fees are still payable by the client. For the well being of the dog and groomer the client is required to provide true and accurate information about the dog.
FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash will take all care and every precaution to ensure the dog has a safe and enjoyable experience, however, due to the unpredictable behavior of animals, situations are unlikely but may arise. Sharp tools are used during the grooming process and if a dog is wiggly or does not remain still accidents can occur. Risks associated with dog washing / grooming can include but are not limited to Hot Spots, Hemotoma, Alopecia, Ear Infection, Nicks, Cuts, Clipper irritation/burns, physical and mental stress. FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash will not be liable for any damage, loss or claim arising from any condition of the dog, either known or unknown to FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash.
It is the clients responsibility to disclose to FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash via text message at the time of making / accepting each booking of any health issues that may be triggered or exacerbated by the service or products used in the wash/groom service.
By accepting any booking the client is acknowledging they understand and agree to all the Policies of FURtastic Mobile Dog Wash.
