1 — What days and times do you operate?

Tuesday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.
Closed Monday, Saturday & Sunday.


2 — What areas do you operate in?

FURtastic Dog Wash Byford services Perth’s south-east corridor:
Kelmscott ➝ Mundijong and Byford ➝ Piara Waters, including all surrounding suburbs.

3 — Do you express anal glands?

No — this must be done by a vet.


4 — Do you clip nails?

Yes — only for calm, cooperative dogs that safely allow handling.


5 — Do you do brush-outs?

Yes — only if the dog is not matted.
FURtastic follows humanity before vanity.
Matted coats must be shaved.


6 — Do you clean dogs’ teeth?

No — proper dental care must be done at a vet clinic.


7 — Do you offer clipping?

Yes — small-dog summer shave downs only.
No breed clips, no tidy-ups, no scissoring.


8 — Do you groom double-coated breeds?

Yes — for de-shedding only.
Double coats are not clipped at FURtastic.


9 — Which double-coated breeds are not serviced?

FURtastic Dog Wash Byford does not service:
• Alaskan Malamute
• Bernese Mountain Dog
• Samoyed
• Old English Sheepdog
• Chow Chow
• Long-coat German Shepherd
• Long-coat Border Collie

(Some DSH/DP double coat breeds remain allowed for regular wash or de-shed.)


10 — What size dogs do you take?

Dogs up to 40kg maximum.


11 — Do you accept aggressive or dangerous dogs?

No.
Dogs that bite, attempt to bite, snarl, growl, crocodile-roll, scramble, or cannot be safely handled will not be serviced.
Fees still apply.


12 — Can I stay with my dog in the trailer?

No.
For safety, insurance, and to protect the calm FURtastic Bubble, no owners may enter the trailer.


13 — Can I watch from the trailer door or stand nearby?

No.
Owners hovering or calling out distracts the dog and makes the service unsafe.


14 — What if my dog is anxious or shy?

FURtastic specializes in calm, patient, one-on-one handling.
Many nervous dogs do very well in the quiet mobile salon.
Severely fearful dogs may require a veterinary grooming environment.


15 — Is the mobile salon air-conditioned?

Yes — fully enclosed, heated in winter, cooled in summer, and weather-proof all year.


16 — Can you come while I’m at work?

Yes — the FURtastic “Away Service” is available for friendly, easy-to-handle dogs.
Payment must be arranged in advance.


17 — Do you groom cats?

No — dogs only.


18 — How long does a wash take?

• Wash & towel dry — 30 minutes
• Wash & blow dry — 30–60 minutes, depending on coat and size


19 — Why do you need parking, water, and power?

The hydrobath and drying equipment require:
• 8–10m safe, level parking
• A mains water tap with a fitted spout
• A dedicated 10-amp power outlet

These are essential for safe operation.


20 — Why can’t you use bore water?

It stains coats, damages equipment, and may irritate skin.


21 — Why can’t you use my garden hose?

FURtastic uses its own hoses and fittings for hygiene and safety.


22 — What happens if I’m not home?

If the dog cannot be presented or accessed, the booking is considered a cancellation.
A cancellation fee applies.


23 — What happens if I’m late presenting my dog?

Delays reduce the appointment time.
If too much time is lost, the service may not be completed
and full fees will still be payable.


24 — Can I supply my own shampoo?

Yes — but prices remain the same.


25 — How do I pay?

Payment is required at the start of the appointment.
Cash or credit card (card fee applies).
Clients cannot leave to go withdraw money.


26 — Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes — with more than 24 hours’ notice.
Less than 24 hours results in a cancellation or re-scheduling fee.


27 — Do you offer regular appointments?

Yes — 4-weekly regular clients receive priority booking.


28 — Can I book without giving my address or dog details?

No.

• Full name
• Address
• Suburb
• Dog breed

Age of dog
• Approx. weight / size
• Photo of your dog
• Service required
