Legally Binding Service Agreement
Effective December 2025
These Terms of Service form a legally binding contract between FURtastic Dog Wash Byford (“the operator”) and you, the client.
By replying “YES” to an offered appointment time, you acknowledge that:
These Terms apply to all future bookings unless updated in writing on the business website.
0.1A By confirming an appointment, the client enters a legally binding service contract.
0.1B All services are subject to these Terms without exception.
0.1C These Terms override any verbal discussion, assumption, or expectation.
0.2A FURtastic Dog Wash Byford may update these Terms at any time.
0.2B The most recent version published on the website is the legally enforceable version.
0.3A Service boundaries cover suburbs from Piara Waters (north-west) to Kelmscott (north-east) and Byford (central) to Mundijong/Serpentine (south).
0.3B Bookings outside service boundaries will be declined.
1.1A Appointments are accepted by text only during business hours.
1.1B Clients must provide accurate information including:
• Full name
• Full residential address (house number + street + suburb)
• Contact number
• Dog breed
• Dog age
• Approx. weight
• Size category
• Service requested
• A clear side-on photo of the dog standing
1.1C Failure to provide accurate information may result in refusal of service.
1.2A Appointments are only confirmed when the client replies “YES”.
1.2B Failure to reply within 24 hours results in automatic cancellation.
1.2C Clients must reply within this timeframe to allow route planning.
1.3A Arrival times are estimates only.
1.3B The operator may arrive up to 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after the scheduled time.
1.3C Reasons for delay include but are not limited to:
• Traffic
• Weather
• Dog behavior at previous appointments
• Mechanical failure
• Road conditions
1.3D The operator will notify the client where possible, but delays do not void the appointment.
1.4A Standard approximate durations:
• Wash & Towel Dry — 30 mins
• Wash & Blow Dry — 1 hour
• De-Shed — 1–1.5 hours
• Small Dog Summer Shave — up to 2 hours
1.4B These durations include setup and pack-down.
1.4C Delays caused by the client reduce the time available for grooming.
1.4D If excessive time is lost due to the client, the service may not be able to be completed; full fees remain payable.
1.5A Minimum 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
1.5B Less than 24 hours’ notice results in forfeiture of the booking fee or a cancellation fee (see current fee schedule).
1.5C Only one reschedule per appointment is allowed.
1.5D A second late reschedule results in refusal of future service.
1.6A Arriving 15 minutes late or more is considered a missed appointment.
1.6B Full fees apply for missed appointments.
1.6C After one missed appointment, pre-payment is required for all future bookings.
1.6D A second missed appointment results in refusal of future service.
2.1A The operator requires 10 meters of level, safe, legal hard stand for the car and trailer.
2.1B No steep or battle-axe driveways are permitted.
2.1C The trailer is normally parked on the street in front of the home.
2.1D All client vehicles must be moved before arrival.
2.1E Once setup starts, the trailer cannot be moved.
2.1F If the client asks the trailer to be relocated after setup begins, the appointment is immediately terminated and full fees apply.
2.2A Access must be clear, safe and unobstructed.
2.2B Access may not require passing through:
• Long grass
• Overgrown vegetation
• Slippery surfaces
• Steps
• Gravel
• Unsafe terrain
2.2C Unsafe access results in refusal of service with full fees payable.
2.3A The operator uses their own hose and requires:
• A front mains water tap
• Fitted with a 12mm click-on connector
2.3B No bore water may be used.
2.4A The operator requires access to a 10-amp power point.
2.4B The operator will not:
• Run power through doors (trip hazard and damages equipment)
• Use power boards
• Use extension leads
2.4C Large appliances must not run on the same circuit during the appointment.
3.1A Dogs must be safe, calm and suitable for handling.
3.1B Dogs over 40 kg will not be serviced.
3.1C Dogs must be fully vaccinated.
3.1D Puppies must be 14 days past their final vaccination before they can be serviced.
3.2A Dogs will not be serviced if they have or recently had:
• Kennel cough
• Conjunctivitis
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Open wounds
• Infectious illness (within 30 days of exposure)
3.2B Client must disclose any medical conditions.
3.2C Failure to disclose results in immediate termination with full fees payable.
3.3A Dogs aged 7+ are at higher risk of medical complications.
3.3B Grooming may cause stress-induced issues such as:
• Seizures
• Heart events
• Collapse
3.3C The client is fully liable for any veterinary costs associated with age-related or existing medical conditions.
3.4A Dog must be comfortable being restrained on a collar and lead.
3.4B Behavior deemed unsafe includes:
• Biting or attempting to bite
• Growling, snarling, showing teeth
• Crocodile rolling
• Thrashing
• Attempting to jump from the bath
• Pulling limbs away during nail trim
3.4C Service will stop immediately if behavior becomes unsafe.
3.4D Full fees remain payable.
3.5A Nail trimming is only performed on dogs that allow safe handling.
3.5B The operator will attempt the nail trim but will stop immediately if:
• Aggression appears
• The dog is unsafe to handle
• The dog is overly resistant
3.5C If attending a nail-trim-only appointment and nails cannot be trimmed, full fees still apply.
3.5D Overgrown nails with a long quick can only be trimmed to a safe length.
4.1A The trailer is a private work site.
4.1B Absolutely no entry is permitted.
This includes:
• Standing on the step
• Standing in the doorway
• Leaning into the trailer
4.1C Any breach terminates the appointment immediately with full fees payable.
4.2A Clients must not hover, call out, or remain near the trailer.
4.2B Dogs can smell and hear their owners which creates danger during grooming.
4.2C Loitering causes delays, stress, and increases risk of injury.
4.2D Additional time fees apply for delays caused by the owner.
4.3A Smoking is strictly prohibited within several meters of the trailer.
4.3B This is due to gas cylinders, asthma risk, and safety regulations.
4.3C Smoking may result in immediate termination of the appointment with full fees payable.
4.4A Abuse, aggression, intimidation, or hostility toward the operator results in:
• Immediate termination of service
• Full fees payable
• Permanent refusal of future service
4.5A Clients are liable for any damage to the trailer or tow vehicle caused by their dog or negligence, including scratching paintwork or equipment damage.
5.1A FURtastic Dog Wash Byford may take photos/videos before, during, and after the service.
5.1B These images become the sole property of the business.
5.1C By replying “YES” to the booking, the client provides full permission for images to be used for:
• Social media
• Website
• Advertising
• Marketing
5.1D No additional consent is required.
5.2A Reminder texts are sent early in the week.
5.2B The client must reply within 24 hours or risk cancellation.
5.3A The client agrees not to publish false, damaging or defamatory content about the business.
5.3B Any defamatory remarks may result in legal action and permanent refusal of service.
6.1A All prices given prior to seeing the dog are estimates only.
6.1B Final price is determined on:
• Coat condition
• Dog behavior
• Time required
• Owner interruptions
6.2A A booking fee per dog may be required.
6.2B Booking fees are deducted from the final price if the appointment proceeds.
6.2C Booking fees are forfeited if the appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
6.3A Payment is due in full at the start of the appointment.
6.3B Payment methods:
• Cash
• Credit card (card fee applies)
6.3C If payment is not made on the day, late fees apply (refer to fee schedule).
6.3D No further appointments will be provided while any amount remains unpaid.
7.1A Grooming carries inherent risks including but not limited to:
• Hot spots
• Hematomas
• Nicks or cuts
• Clipper irritation
• Stress or anxiety
• Alopecia
7.1B The operator is not liable for medical issues arising from pre-existing conditions or normal grooming risks.
7.1C The client accepts all risks associated with grooming.
7.2A Service may be stopped at any time due to:
• Dog aggression
• Unsafe conditions
• Owner interference
• Health concerns
7.2B Full fees remain payable.
By replying “YES” to a booking offer, the client agrees that they:
